Description
What is a Urea Blood Test?
Urea provides essential information about how well the kidneys and liver function. As such it is a waste product from the breakdown of amino acids found in proteins. When protein is broken down in the liver, nitrogen is produced in ammonia and is excreted in the urine. Most diseases that affect the kidneys or liver can affect the amount of urea in the blood.
Why get a Blood Urea test?
